Standardised terms used across vimigo - product, programs, roles, business concepts, and the legacy terms you'll occasionally still hear. When in doubt, use the version on this page.
How to use this glossaryโ
If you hear a vimigo term in a meeting, in the app, or from your account manager and aren't sure what it means, look it up here. Each entry has the meaning in plain English and a one-sentence note on when you'd hear it. Where the same term has both an English and a Chinese form (this is a Malaysian product, both come up), both are listed.
The Style Guide covers the priority spelling rules (lowercase vimigo, "performance reward system", module-name capitalisation).
Core brand and identity termsโ
vimigo - The brand name. Pronounced "vi-mi-go". Lowercase "v" even at the start of a sentence. You'll see this everywhere - app, contracts, invoices.
Performance Reward System / ็ปฉๆๅฅๅฑ็ณป็ป - What vimigo is. Use this phrase when describing the category - not "HR software", "KPI tool", or "performance platform". You'll hear it from your account manager and on the website.
GoodJob - The earlier name and philosophy that vimigo grew out of. Focused on rewarding the right people and retaining good employees. You'll only hear this from long-tenure customers; the brand is now vimigo.
SME - Small and Medium Enterprise. vimigo's primary customer - if you have between 5 and 200 staff, you're an SME.
MX Circle - The 2026 pricing tier names. Tiers: MX Circle, 10 MX Circle, 100 MX Circle, 1B Circle. You'll see this on your invoice and in subscription discussions; replaces older Starter / Standard plans.
ADEV Ventures Sdn. Bhd. - The Malaysia-registered company behind vimigo. You'll see this on invoices and contracts.
Module namesโ
vimiGoal - Sets and tracks goals for staff. Use this when you want everyone to see what target they're working towards this month.
vimiSales - Tracks sales performance and calculates commission automatically. Use this if your team has any sales role.
vimiTeam - Sets team-level goals and team-level payouts. Use this when you want a department or branch to share a payout based on hitting a shared target.
vimiClass - Monthly grading. Combines goal score, review score, and check-in score into an A/B/C/D grade per staff. Use this once you've been running vimiGoal for a couple of months and want a single number per person per month.
vimiBonus - A bonus distribution method that converts vimiClass grades into a fair bonus formula. Not a software module yet - it's currently a methodology bosses apply manually using vimiClass + vimiGoal data. See strategy-vimibonus.md.
vimiBank - A virtual wallet that accumulates earnings and pays out on payslip day. Use this for sales commission, team payouts, and any cash bonus you want staff to see growing month-by-month before payslip.
vimiRewards - The shop. Catalog of items (vouchers, food, gadgets, experiences) staff redeem with diamonds. Use this to give earned diamonds something concrete to be spent on.
vimiBadge - Digital achievement badges - "Customer Hero", "On-Time Streak 30 Days". Use this for instant public recognition without spending diamonds.
Diamond - The virtual currency. Staff earn diamonds and spend them on vimiRewards or Lucky Wheel spins. Default rate: 500๐ = RM1. You'll see and hear "diamonds" everywhere - this is the everyday motivation currency.
Talent Review - The layer that spots A/B/C-players based on multi-month grade trend, not single-month spikes. Use this when you're deciding promotions, retention, or who gets the year-end bonus. No dedicated guide yet - see the Product Modules Overview summary.
EWF (Employee Welfare Fund) - Purpose-based wallets - typically Education, Travel, Food. Real money held by the company, claimed when staff need it. Use this as a long-term retention tool for staff who've been with you 12+ months. Wallet types vary per company.
vimiLeave - Digital leave application and approval. Use this when you want to stop tracking leave on Excel.
vimiChallenge - Time-limited performance challenges with rewards - "biggest deal this week wins 10,000๐". Use this for short-burst engagement, especially mid-month when energy dips.
Leaderboard - Real-time rankings across individuals or teams. Use this whenever you want healthy competition - sales is the obvious case, but it works for upsells, attendance streaks, anything measurable.
vimiCheckIn - Clock-in module for attendance. (Capitalisation: "vimiCheckIn", not "vimicheckin".) Use this if you need to track on-time attendance, especially for shift-based work.
vimiKnowledge - Internal knowledge base and self-learning videos. Use this to onboard new hires faster or document processes that currently live in your head.
vimiRoadmap - Shows each staff member their career path - what they need to do to move from junior to senior, dental nurse to clinic supervisor, etc. Use this when staff are quitting because "they don't see a future".
vimiReview - Structured monthly review cycle that feeds into vimiClass grading. Use this when you want manager-and-self review built into the same monthly grade.
vimiReport - Cross-module reporting. Use this when you want a leave summary, a commission summary, or a goal-completion summary across staff.
vimiForm - Visitor / form / QR module. Status currently under review against the live app - check with your account manager before using.
Lucky Wheel - Spin-to-win engagement game. Staff spend tickets (or diamonds) to spin for prizes. Use this for variable-reward engagement - mid-month bursts, end-of-quarter celebrations.
Program namesโ
vimigo FOR CEO - 3-day workshop for business owners and founders. Runs every two months. You can join repeatedly during your subscription. The mindset layer.
vimigo FOR TEAM - 5-day physical workshop for your core 6-8 senior staff. Run quarterly. Aligns your management team on accountability and execution.
CVO Program (Chief Vimigo Officer) - Online coaching for the internal champion at your company who drives the rollout. Three levels; Level 1 is usually 8 sessions of 2 hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Whoever is running vimigo internally for you should join this.
IIO Masterclass - "Inspire, Innovate, Outperform" masterclass. Bi-monthly. Real boss sharing how they actually use vimigo - useful as you scale beyond month 6.
IIO Day - Annual event held January 10th, plus an Awards Night. Once-a-year community event - bosses showcase their wins.
ODDA Trips - Observe-Decode-Define-Apply. International learning trips - Tokyo, Hangzhou, Australia have been past destinations. Optional add-on for senior leaders who want to see how other companies operate.
GrowthKickstart Program - Free Business Health Check plus goal-planning session. Included in all subscriptions - book it through your account manager.
Performance Incubation Programme - 6- or 12-month hands-on business transformation. For bosses who want a longer engagement than the standard workshops.
Preview Class / ไฝ้ช่ฏพ - Intro class on Zoom, around RM98. Includes a system trial account. Useful if you're not yet a customer and want to see vimigo in action before signing up.
Role termsโ
CVO (Chief Vimigo Officer) - The internal champion at your company who drives vimigo adoption and keeps the system alive past month one. If someone says "your CVO will handle that", they mean the person inside your company - usually a senior manager or HR lead - not someone from vimigo HQ.
Coach - A vimigo-trained guide who walks you through implementation. Your coach is your hands-on contact during rollout.
Account Manager (AM) - Your dedicated support contact at vimigo. Available Mon-Fri 10am-7pm. Use this contact for billing, plan upgrades, or anything outside the app's help section.
CSM (Customer Success Manager) - Owns the ongoing relationship beyond setup. You'll meet your CSM after the first 90 days, when the conversation shifts from "set up" to "are you getting results?".
Business conceptsโ
Mindset-Skillset-Toolset - vimigo's three-layer structure. Mindset = boss thinking and reward design (workshops). Skillset = manager execution (workshops + coaching). Toolset = the software (modules). You'll hear this framing in the workshops.
Good Apple / Bad Apple / ๅฅฝ่นๆ / ๅ่นๆ - From the GoodJob era. Good apples = top performers to retain; bad apples = underperformers. The vimigo philosophy: bad apples should exit naturally through transparent systems and visible scorecards, not through confrontation.
ไบบๆฒป vs ๅถๅบฆๅ / People-dependent vs System-driven - The core transformation. Moving from "the company runs because the boss is in the room" to "the company runs because the system makes it run". This is the destination of a successful vimigo rollout.
็ปๆ็ปญ่ดน / Result-Based Renewal - vimigo's renewal philosophy. You renew because you see results, not because of contract lock-in. Used in renewal conversations with your CSM.
ไธไธชๆ ธๅฟ้ฎ้ข / Three Core Problems - The three problems vimigo aims to solve: ็ฎๆ ไธๆธ (unclear goals), ๅฅ้ไธๅ ฌ (unfair bonuses), ่ๆฟๅคช็ดฏ (boss too tired). You'll hear this framing in the CEO workshop - bosses see themselves in at least one.
Free Company Health Check Report - A free assessment of your team's current state. Usually the first conversation prospects have with vimigo - book it through the website.
Deprecated and legacy termsโ
These appear in older materials and the occasional customer conversation. Understand them, don't use them as primary descriptions.
Starter Plan - Old pricing tier (RM600/month, 20 users). Superseded by MX Circle.
Standard Plan - Old pricing tier (RM1,500/month, 50 users). Superseded by 10 MX Circle.
Per-user pricing - Old pricing model. Replaced by company-size-based tiers.
Performance Visibility Platform / Solution - Used on some legacy website pages. NOT the official primary positioning. Use "performance reward system" instead.
HR Total Solution - Legacy description. Do not use as primary positioning.
Employee Management App - Legacy description. Do not use.
vimigo 2.0 - Used internally to distinguish the current product from earlier versions. Externally, just say "vimigo".
